A gorgeous masterpiece has been created. The artwork has been posted on the internet and in galleries, but what happens if someone creates another one? Is that legal?
Don't Be A Victim
Time and energy has been devoted to creating something very special to you. Of course it's important to make sure you are covered in all aspects so no one can steal or replicate your work. Yes, being copyrighted is smart, but is it registered? If your work is not registered to you, if you were involved in a case of infringement, all of the legal fees incurred would not be covered. That could end up being a very costly mistake. Never underestimate and believe that it couldn't happen to you. Better to be safe than sorry. Having registered copyrighted work is something you cannot skip. Is there something else you can do to save yourself? Yes, getting yourself “branded”.
Branding Myself
Branding your work is added protection to keep your work from ever being used without your consent. It is a very common practice as well. Branding yourself, your logos, and your name will almost solidify yourself in case you ended up having a thief take your work and misuse it. Another reason branding is a smart move, is in case you do have to face a legal battle, you would have been branded. It will be less work proving the work has been stolen or duplicated.
Unfortunately in today's society we have to jump through so many hoops to keep other people from using our work, ideas, and talent. Protecting yourself is so important to prevent this type of violation. No one wants to see another person take credit for their work. A few small solid moves in the beginning of any venture will prove beneficial in the long term. Then if you do face a legal battle, all you'll need to do is contact your Arlington lawyers for the help you need.
